It's nearly impossible to get a job in the US if you haven't graduated high school or are not at least 18. Many part-time jobs require you to be at least 18.
Really it depends on each state in the US. Labor laws vary. It's possible to get a job before 18, but you will likely be working in fast food, but retail is also possible. I started as a cashier in a store at the age of 17. However, my brother could only seem to get job offers in fast food at 16, which is where he works now at the age of 18.
I think its the same in many other countries.. Before the age of 18 (heck even into their 20s) all of my friends as well as I worked either in the fast food industry or retail.. personally Ive worked in retail since I was 15 and only last year got an office job after graduating university. There is nothing wrong with working in fast food or retail, it teaches you how to deal in stressful situations, how to manage working tough long shifts and how to deal with difficult people.
Oh but first, you'll need to go through a quick little training sesssion. Don't worry it's only a couple $10k per year, and just four years, I'll be over in a heartbeat. Then youll have to start at the bottom, of course, there are lots of qualified applicants, after another four years, you should get a promotion. I know, the salary isn't quite what you expected, but you just have to work hard, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and and 4 hours on Sunday, and in another 10 years, you'll be up for another promotion. There'll probably be a bit of competiton , but that's normal, all you have to do is be the best. You get it, and yay, you're now making between $300-$700 per week.
