Hey there fellers... been a while huh? I was thinking about this site again recently and decided to poke my head into here to see what’s going on. I’m surprised to see so many people here I still recognize, like Catfluff, Snowbeast, Karboll, Nicengelman, and of course Bensen, still posting daily updates :D Is SuperDave still here too? How is he doing? If anyone else is still here who recognizes this old fs fossil, hmu :D
A lot has changed these past few years huh? I can give a quick rundown of what’s been going on, the good, bad and ugly; I finished college over in Maine and graduated with an associates degree, spent half a year job searching before finally landing a pretty decent gig over in my brother’s city, but it’s currently on a timer so I have about 3ish months left before I need to find a new one. I have a nice little apartment in the meantime, which I am currently confined to bc I am very sick while writing this lol.

For some bad news, my gf and I are no longer dating, I won’t go into details but it was handled very maturely, and we are still talking to one another every so often (though, you all know how bad I am at texting people first lol). The only other thing I can think of for big news is; I am discovered that I am much more genderfluid than I once thought, so I go by both Richard AND Alice now :3 (I’m not picky with pronouns or preferred names atm though, so don’t worry about accidentally misgendering or whatever, it’s chill).
I know a long time ago I used to say that I was going to stay on Funsubstance until it died, but frankly, seeing this old site slowly wither away at the time to the state it was in was frankly really disheartening, so that combined with my aforementioned breakup convinced me that it was time to move on. Frankly, things have gotten a lot more depressing for me mental-health wise, and while I am still keeping things together, it’s been difficult.

I don’t want to be all doom and gloom here though, because I am still holding out, and I do still love this old site and everyone within it <3 I still have that FunSubsters pillow after all, and I do still recognize almost everyone on it. If you guys ever want to text me to either just chat or catch up or whatever, I’m still in the FunSubstance discord! I don’t text in it ever, but it’s an easy access to my dms if you ever want to say hi (Just make sure you announce who you are if you have a different username on discord than fs, I’ve become a bit less trusting of people I don’t recognize trying to send me dms on discord).

Oh yeah, and if you’ve wondered where I’ve been online; I’ve taken up browsing a subreddit called r/196. It’s a nice place for memes and is pretty trans positive, but I wouldn’t recommend browsing it yourself bc there is a lot of... let’s just say pretty weird people on there as well. Still, it’s a friendly place that I’ve become more acclimated to, and if you ever find yourself accidentally swinging by the area, keep an eye out for me :D

Hey nice to see you again! I’m glad you’ve worked out what gender you are :) recently my cousin has realised he’s gay and my mum had hernias and a bit of cancer and is a bit sick :( I’ve had my cataract operations and now have 20/0 vision so that’s good

It's great to see you again, and to hear what you have been up to!
I'm sorry to hear that things are taking a dip regarding your mental health, I've also hit a bit of a dip where my depression came back and my social anxiety went through the roof, so I started avoiding everyone, which is obviously /ideal/ for making things better.
I've also finished my degree, I miss attending class and learning new material and interacting with my lectures and friends (and most of my mates left, and I don't think that the remaining group considers me as a close friend (or I might be overthinking it)).
Anyways, the good things are that I'm doing my master's degree now, and I'm trying to improve things - I've started exercising, restarted therapy, learning a new language, learning new skills, etc. Other than that I mainly just vibe here, and now and then play PC games.
The discord seems quite dead, is anyone still active there?
